NETTING FOR WILD TWEED SALMON

Visiting Berwick-upon-Tweed between

mid-June and mid-September?

Watch the salmon fishermen at Gardo Fishery near Berwick’s Old Bridge as they use the traditional method of net and coble.

This is the last operational commercial netting station on the River Tweed, continuing the 900 year long heritage of salmon-netting at the Mouth of the Tweed
